Punjab Education Department Directs All Schools to Reintroduce Morning Assembly and Literary Activities

New Directive Issues Strict Guidelines to Promote Patriotism and Civic Responsibility as Part of Revised National Action Plan

LAHORE (Special Reporter) The Punjab School Education Department has issued a new official communiqué to all public and private schools across the province, strictly directing Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) to ensure the implementation of fresh guidelines regarding student activities.

According to the notification, all schools must now regularly conduct morning assemblies including prayers. Additionally, to foster patriotism and a national spirit among students, co-curricular activities, including literary societies (Bazm-e-Adab), have been declared mandatory.

The department has also instructed schools to organize special events and awareness sessions aimed at highlighting national unity, national consciousness, and the sense of civic responsibility. Under this directive, schools are required to organize awareness lectures on the topic of “Merka-e-Haq” (The Battle for Truth).

The communiqué clarifies that these measures are being taken under the implementation of the revised National Action Plan. School administrations have been told to adhere to these orders without fail, and relevant authorities will actively monitor compliance.
