Answer Scripts of Top Candidates Exchanged Among Boards for Re-Evaluation; Final Results Set to Be Released on August 6
LAHORE (ؑEducation reporter) In a bid to enhance transparency, fairness, and standardisation in the Matriculation annual examination results, all nine educational boards across Punjab have initiated a comprehensive cross-validation process for the answer scripts of the potential top 20 position holders.
According to board sources, answer papers of high-achieving students from all nine Punjab intermediate and secondary education boards—including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and D.G. Khan—are being re-examined by expert examiners from different boards. This cross-checking system aims to eliminate any potential marking errors or discrepancies, ensuring a uniform evaluation standard across the province.
Officials highlighted that the primary objective of this measure is to reinforce public trust, impartiality, and accuracy within the examination system. Should any significant variation in marks surface during this cross-validation process, appropriate steps and actions will be taken in accordance with board regulations.
The cross-validation process is currently underway at a rapid pace to meet the deadline. All boards are finalizing their arrangements to ensure that the official, accurate, and reliable Matriculation examination results are declared as scheduled on August 6.
