Educational Boards Directed to Initiate De-affiliation Process; 3-Month Notice Issued Before Final Action
PESHAWAR (Education Reporter) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to initiate a strict crackdown on unregistered private schools and educational institutions across the province that are not registered with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority (KP-PSRA).
According to an official notification issued by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, the Chairmen of all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) have been directed, on the instructions of the KP Chief Minister, to launch legal action and start the process of cancelling the affiliation of all non-compliant private institutions.
Three-Month Grace Period and Notice Requirement
The notification specifies that no institution’s affiliation will be revoked immediately. Instead, the concerned board will issue a mandatory three-month notice to provide institutions with a final opportunity to complete their registration.
- Objective: Allow unregistered institutions to fulfill their mandatory registration process within the given timeframe.
- Action: If an institution fails to register within the specified period, its affiliation will be formally revoked in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Submission of Implementation Reports
The department has further instructed all educational boards to submit a comprehensive implementation report upon the completion of the notice period. The report will detail the institutions that successfully completed registration as well as those facing de-affiliation.
Officials emphasized that these orders are effective immediately, and all boards have been instructed to ensure strict compliance within the stipulated timeframe.
