Disregarding Vacations، Action Initiated Against 85 Private Schools, Heavy Fines Recommended

Students’ Health at Risk Due to Academic Operations Amid Intense Heat; Regulatory Authority Takes Action

PESHAWAR (News Reporter) Following a strict crackdown on institutions operating illegally during official holidays, 85 private schools have been identified for continuing academic activities despite intense heat waves and government-mandated summer vacations. The Private Schools Regulatory Authority has initiated immediate legal proceedings against the violators. In this regard, formal notices are being issued to the non-compliant schools, along with recommendations to impose heavy financial penalties.

Severe Health Risks to Students and Surfacing Complaints

According to official sources, the Private Schools Regulatory Authority has compiled a definitive list of private educational institutes in various sectors that remained open in direct violation of government directives. Due to the severe heatwave and the management’s irresponsible decisions, the health of young students has been put at grave risk.

Complaints flooded in from multiple areas reporting that children were severely affected by the extreme weather conditions, with some even fainting at school premises. Taking strict notice of these alarming incidents, the provincial government ordered the relevant authorities to take immediate and stern disciplinary action against the responsible managements.
