Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced admissions for various academic programs ranging from Matriculation to PhD level for the Autumn Semester 2026. The admission campaign will formally launch across all four provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other northern areas on July 1, 2026.
In line with the vision of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood, the university is further expanding the scope of its market-based and job-oriented programs to equip youth with modern education and skills aligned with contemporary demands. Under this objective, various technical, vocational, diploma, and certificate courses will also be offered this semester to prepare a skilled workforce for the socio-economic development of the country.
List of Offered Academic Programs
Admissions are being opened for a wide range of academic pathways, including:
- School & College Levels: Matric General, Matric Science, Matric Dars-e-Nizami, FA General, I.Com, and FA Dars-e-Nizami.
- Undergraduate & Graduate Degrees: Associate Degree Programs (BA, B.Com, BBA), Associate Degree in Education, 2-year Associate Degree Programs in various disciplines, BS (Open and Distance Learning – ODL), and BS (Face-to-Face) programs.
- Teacher Education: 1.5-year, 2.5-year, and 4-year B.Ed programs.
- Advanced & Postgraduate Research: Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programs, MS, M.Phil, and PhD programs.
Prospectuses and online admission forms for all programs will be available on the official university website starting July 1, 2026. Students will be able to select programs according to their educational needs and career goals, and submit their admission applications within the prescribed deadline.
