KPK Higher Education Dept Cancels All Temporary Transfers and Postings

PESHAWAR (Correspondent) – In a major move to reform the provincial education system and ensure transparency, the Higher Education Department (HED) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has ordered the immediate cancellation of all temporary transfers and postings across the province.

According to the official notification, this directive applies to all relevant wings, including the Directorate General of Commerce Education, Directorate of Higher Education, and all Regional Directorates with immediate effect.

Objectives of the Decision: Higher Education Department officials stated that the primary goals of this crackdown are:

  • Optimal Teacher-Student Ratio: To maintain an ideal balance between faculty and students in educational institutions, ensuring that teaching resources are distributed where they are most needed.
  • Addressing Staff Shortages: By canceling temporary attachments (deputations), the department aims to fill faculty gaps in colleges and universities that have been suffering from a shortage of teachers.
  • Administrative Discipline: The move is expected to improve academic discipline and streamline the monitoring process within the department.

Authorities have issued strict instructions to all concerned officers to ensure immediate compliance with these orders, warning that any negligence or delay in implementation will not be tolerated.
